![]() ![]() Our season on Lake Michigan starts off generally around May 1 when the Coho salmon begin to move their way around the Lake, the Sheboygan and the Kewaunee rivers are stocked with these silvers as well. Coho salmon are smaller fish, but numbers are more plentiful, doubles and triples are common. Coho then return in the Fall. These fish are caught closer to shore. In the spring, brown trout also mix themselves into out fish bag, two record brown trout have been caught in the Sheboygan area in recent years, brown trout fishing is also good in the fall. These round footballs can but up an excellent fight, especially if you have a 20lber on the line! Chinook salmon, or "king salmon" , begin to move into our area around mid June. Twenty pound class are common with an occasional 30 plus fish, generally caught in the Fall spawning run (Sept- Oct). Sheboygan's proximity to deep water provides excellent habitat and forage for these monsters to grow! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ- the rod goes off, FISH -ON! , the fish rips out line, at Waushara, we are experienced Chinook fishermen, we'll guide you into landing that once in a lifetime trophy. Area steelhead action generally begins in June and the action continues the rest of the season. The sky-rocketing acrobatics of these fish is
outstanding. If you have fished for steelhead in the Sheboygan area, you know we are very close to deep water with fast moving currents, conditions like these are perfect for these jumping beauties. Lake trout generally mix themselves into our catch through- out the year, Sheboygan has seen some lake trout well over 20lbs, however, the 10-12 lb class is average.At Waushara Sport fishing Charters, we strive to satisfy our customers, we run full day, and half day charters from May 1 to October 1.
